How can I arrange to get a demo of TheBooks?

Is TheBooks sold as modules or as a package?
TheBooks is sold as a complete application; not on a module by module basis.  The software runs at your location and both the data and the software are resident on your computers.
Does TheBooks base its calculations on Broker Statements?
No, TheBooks uses broker statements for reconciliation purposes.  Exchange rates, settlement prices, and cash transactions (journal entries) can also be imported from the statements, but trades are not normally brought in from the statements.
What types of instruments does TheBooks support?
Futures, Forwards, FX, Swaps, Equities, as well as options on any of these.  It also supports calendar spread options.
What Price Data vendors does TheBooks Support?
Real-time prices can be obtained from eSignal and CQG.  End of day prices can be obtained from eSignal, CQG, CSI, Yahoo, any Excel spreadsheet, text files, and your brokerage statements.
Does TheBooks have facilities for T-Bills and other interest baring instruments?
Yes.
Can I import my performance history into TheBooks?
Yes.  TheBooks allows you to import monthly performance tables for individual accounts and composites.  The performance tables produced by TheBooks will link to the end of the tables you import.  You can also import your entire trading history if desired.
Does TheBooks support mid-month additions and/or withdrawals?
Yes.  Because TheBooks is a daily system, you it supports daily additions and withdrawals.
Your documentation states that TheBooks uses SQL Server.  Does this mean I must purchase SQL Server to run TheBooks?
No necessarily.  Most organizations can run TheBooks using the SQLExpress version of SQL Server.  That version is available for no charge from Microsoft.
We have accounts which clear through <broker name>, does TheBooks support this?
TheBooks has support for nearly fifty brokers and more than 135 statement formats.  If it does not support your broker's format, we will add support at no charge for advisors managing more than $10 million.  For those managing less there is a nominal charge.
